Your eligibility is determined by the # of people in your household and your income.

If I am eligible for Energy Assistance, what do I need to bring in when I sign up for assistance?

You will need to bring the following items to your appointment:

  • Social Security Cards for all individuals in household
  • Proof of Income for last 12 months for everyone in household over 18
  • Most Current NIPSCO bill
  • Disconnect Bill (if you have one)

Is Section 8 accepting new clients right now?

Section 8 is NOT currently accepting new applicants. If/when we are able to accept new applicants, it will be advertised in the local media.

How do I get to a Porter County senior center?

If you need a ride, CALL 1-877-532-7946 at least 48 hours before your visit.*

*Subsidies are available to seniors in need of assistance to cover cost of transportation.

Who can use your Transportation Service?

Our transportation services is open to ALL Porter County residents.

Where do your buses go?

We will pick up, drop off and return clients to any location in Porter County.

How much do your transportation services cost?

One Way Trip: $3.00

Round Trip: $6.00
