Antonette Stadter (Chesterton) is 91 years old and lives with her daughter and son-in-law.  Before we built her ramp, she had only left her home twice in over five months.  According to Antonette’s daughter, “She fell on our steps five months ago and has only left the home twice since that time.  It is a huge struggle to get her out.”  Antonette has limited mobility and balance problems.  She uses a walker, but must have assistance from someone when she uses it.  Antonette is happy that she won’t be “stuck at home” any more.

Cassandra Hughes’ husband, Bobby (Portage), recently became disabled and they were depending on others to get him out of their home before we built them a ramp.  Cassandra could not get him to doctor appointments, take him to see friends, etc.:  “We’ve got our independence back and it’s great!”  Mr. Hughes stated, “Thank you for donating the ramp.  You did a great job!”
